Many of our guests ask us what they should bring when they visit the Retreat. Keep in mind, if you should forget these items, many are provided on site for you, but are available on a first come, first served basis. To ensure your use, you may want to bring your own.

What should I bring?
Here is a list of suggestions that may be helpful to you as you are planning your trip:

  • Fishing poles, tackle and bait
  • Lifejackets
  • Charcoal, lighter fluid, matches
  • Water shoes or rain boots
  • Tubes, floats, noodles, rafts, etc.
  • Camp chairs
  • Bug spray
  • Flashlight
  • Swimsuits

Do the kitchens have everything I need to cook a meal?
Yes, our kitchens are stocked with all kitchen necessities you would need to make your meals. If you require any necessary kitchen gadgets that you are unsure we have, please bring them with you.

Can we use the recroom and hot tub anytime during our stay?
The recroom and hot tub are available for our guests between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. You are welcome to utilize these areas during these times.

Can we use the creek on the property anytime?
Our guests are encouraged to use the creek for your enjoyment anytime between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. We ask that everyone respect the outside noise levels after 9 p.m. and refrain from swimming, fishing or socializing at the water’s edge after 11 p.m. or before 7:30 a.m.

Can we use the kayaks and paddles and the rope swing at the Retreat?
Yes! Our guests are encouraged to utilize the kayaks and paddles provided and the rope swing during their stay. Please note that our creek is SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK AND NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. We ask that you use our provided lifejackets or bring your own if you will be paddling in our creek. Please do not take our kayaks or paddles off site.

Can we use the firepits located around the property?
Yes, you are welcome to use any of the firepits and firewood or kindling located at the Geronimo Creek Retreat. Please ensure all fires are extinguished after each use and monitor any flammable items or young children near open flames.

Can we keep the fish we catch in the creek?
No, the Geronimo Creek Retreat is a catch and release creek only.

Does the Retreat have WIFI?
Yes! Each cabin has a WIFI connection and no passwords are required. You can also get a signal in the recroom.
